Project L.O.T.U.S

Context

Initially titled as Project Cocoon, we have laid the foundation of Project L.O.T.U.S in July 2024, a project which aims to achieve the peak, the epitome of disciplined human behaviour.

But just like every ideal and noble idea, this project also has to suffer some realistic frictions and we eventually lost our way throughout our journey. Since July 2024, the project cocoon has been renamed thrice (#m198, ff#m198 & ff#k198) and project lotus is the fourth and probably the final nail in this naming coffin.

Ever since the project cocoon has started, changes has been observed and they are mostly significant ones. Let's talk about the 1st visible change that have occurred which is the surprise and record increase in the number of books we have explored within a year like from July 2024 to June 2025, we have explored 8 books out of which we have completed 3 books. Now why this is a significant growth as by June 2024 we have only completed 7 books starting from November 2021 and now within a year we have explored equal number of books and still have 5 more books in the queue. So, our point is pretty clear which is that this project has been a catalyst to our one of the hobby "Book Reading".

Poetry

Resident

Call me a President with the silent P

You crane this war like Zelensky

Comrade try contemplating

Putting Vladimir won't make you win

It's not about any US like shit

Beware of posing like communists!

There were czars now only tourists

Some liked politics but I ain't lenin

Not too far from that cold war rift

Some thought peace is pieces in split

Two superpowers on a single slit

Seems transverse as Young Thomas enlists

Explanation:

The first couplet sets up the tone and the scheme of the whole poem. The first stanza/line can have multiple interpretations like it's one interpretation could be simple as it goes "Call me a President with the silent P", means the poet is simply referring himself as a resident in this complex modern world. While one interpretation could be the indirect power holding by the poet which is often seen in politics. One more interpretation of this line could be a subliminal to his (poet's) opponents whose name starts with the letter "P" as the poet might want to convey that he doesn't need P, means his opponents, to be a president (leading guy).

Now, the second line makes the first line more valuable as it goes- "You Crane this war like Zelensky". Word play can be easily seen here, like the first word play is on the nation Ukraine itself and from You Crane poet might be stating that it's his opponents who have started and sustained a war he don't want to be in. Then as the line goes, we saw the clever name drop of Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Perfect closure line to complete the first couplet.

The second couplet continues the tone and scheme of this poem and in a way elevates the previous couplet. As the 1st line of 2nd couplet goes "Comrade try Contemplating", a compact yet precise line which is simply shifting the tone towards Soviet Union (the word Comrade is well popularized in the soviet era) and is self explanatory, follows by another line having another clever name drop of current Russian President Vladimir Putin. As the 2nd line goes "Putting Vladimir won't make you win", it could have the interpretation that by just copying shallowly a great persona, poet's opponents cannot win this war against him.

The third couplet has been a dig at the USA(United States of America) as it is also intervening in the current conflict of Russia & Ukraine. The first line of the 3rd couplet goes like "It's not about any US like shit", here 'us' word has been intentionally written in capital to serve as double entendre - the first meaning is literally saying that it is not about any us like shit means the poet do not believe in having collaborations with his ongoing rivals in any way and the second meaning is simply a taunt on the unnecessary involvement of US on this current Russia & Ukraine war situation. Moving to the 2nd line, it goes "Beware of posing like communists". Now, this could have multiple interpretations like one could be a simple dig at how badly the communists are being intercepted in modern politics of USA while this line could also be a dig at the fake communists of today's world, people who are just pretending to be a communist just to have personal gains.

The fourth couplet is an interesting one as it takes us back to the Russian Revolution time period. As the first line goes by "There were czars now only tourists" - It denotes the effect of significantly increasing "Globalization" and "Capitalism" on the modern day Russia where they've moved on from having revolutionary czars(Leaders) to having left with literal tourists only. The follow-up is also a spicy one as the 2nd line states "Some liked politics but I ain't lenin" - Probably a nod to another Russian Revolutionary "Vladimir Lenin", poet is simply saying that only a few in the whole population like politics (interested in politics) in today's brave new world. "I ain't lenin" is the direct announcement that poet is not at all interested in filling up any big shoes (unlike his desperate opponents who will make such attempts just to stay relevant).

The fifth (or penultimate) couplet is an attempt to showcase lyrical skills with adding a tongue twister in the whole setup. The first line is simple and self explanatory as it goes like "Not too far from that cold war rift" which means that we are not too far from those cold war times (USSR v/s USA) but the follow up is quite unexpected but a brilliant use of homophone(peace/pieces) by the end- "Some thought peace is pieces in split" , Now this could also have multiple interpretations as the very first one could be a dig at the present situation of both the nations (USA & Russia) where at times they try to intervene unnecessarily into irrelevant matters while ironically publicly promoting peace. Another interpretation could be a global phenomenon where it is observed that people will believe what the majority will say (peace is pieces in split) irrespective of its authentication. And that's the beautiful irony here poet is trying to point out that peace though have infinite pieces but cannot be obtained via integrating pieces. Peace is always attained as a whole.

The last but not the least, sixth couplet is by far the most dense one be putted philosophically or scientifically, this couplet is a beautiful amalgamation of poetry, geopolitics & quantum science. Probably this is
the signature style of this upcoming, new age, creatively blessed poet.

The first line goes by "Two Superpowers on a single slit", two(intentional typo) many references again, the first one being simple and direct which is a reference to USA & Russia co-existence as two superpowers on a single slit (called "Earth") whereas the brilliance of this line links it to the infamous Y.D.S.E. (Young's Double Slit Experiment)- a scientific gem on the wave nature of Light.

The follow up line doesn't holds up a bit as it goes like "Seems Transverse as Young Thomas enlist" - Transverse nature is one of the attribute of an electromagnetic wave (Light) and Young Thomas is a cleverly written namedrop of the scientist who have been credited for YDSE i.e. Thomas Young. Also the transverse could be the analogous comparison of USA-Russia with the light's both components Electric field and Magnetic Field. Since light's both component co-exists orthogonally as the light propagates as an  electromagnetic field, similarly poet is pointing out the current case of the two superpowers US & Russia.
